A Blessed Fourth of July

As we mark Independence Day, we hold in prayer all who long for true freedom: freedom from hunger, from isolation, from despair. May this holiday be a moment to recognize Christ in every neighbor we encounter. We are grateful for this community and for all who walk this road with us.

Giving Thanks for Fathers on Father’s Day

This past Sunday we gave thanks for fathers and father-figures on Father’s Day — including The Very Rev. Fr. Mychal Joseph Gallop, who shepherds our parish family with such steady care. We held in prayer the fathers among us, the fathers we remember with love, and all who have been a father to someone in need of one. Thank you to all who joined us in Collinsville and online to mark the day.

Father Gallop Appointed Vicar General of the Diocese

Bishop William R. Cavins has appointed The Very Reverend Mychal Joseph Gallop as Vicar General of the Diocese of Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs Reformed Catholic Church, effective immediately. Fr. Mychal will serve as the Bishop’s principal collaborator in the pastoral governance of the Diocese — advising on policy, representing the Bishop when needed, and supporting clergy and faith communities across thirteen states and Puerto Rico — while continuing as Pastor of Saint Cleophas Outreach Ministry. We ask your prayers for him as he takes on this ministry of leadership and service.

Trinity Sunday

This past Sunday we celebrated Trinity Sunday — contemplating the mystery at the heart of our faith: that the God who creates, redeems, and sustains us is one God in three Persons. Thank you to all who joined us in Collinsville and online for this great feast.

Pentecost: The Church’s Birthday

This past Sunday we celebrated Pentecost — the gift of the Holy Spirit and the birthday of the Church. Fifty days from Easter, we hear again the ancient promise: the Advocate has come, and we are not left alone. Thank you to all who gathered with us in Collinsville and online to mark this great feast.

A Day of Shared Worship with Smith Memorial UMC

On Sunday, April 12, Saint Cleophas joined Smith Memorial United Methodist Church for a special joint service in the main sanctuary. We are deeply grateful for the warmth and generosity of the Smith Memorial congregation, and for the gift of worshipping together across our traditions. It was a joyful reminder that the table is wide and the welcome is real.
